Ruwad Establishment signs partnership agreement with Malaysia’s MDEC
Ruwad Establishment has signed a partnership agreement with Malaysia’s Multimedia Development Corporation (MDEC) in support of small and medium IT projects. The aim is to create business opportunities for projects in order to provide national establishments and businessmen with new and updated information technologies (IT).
Ahmed Al Midfa’a, Chairman of Ruwad Establishment, noted that the IT sector is one of the most important sectors contributing to small and medium projects in the UAE due to the huge development and expansion within this field, and the efforts of local and union governments to convert to e-services.
He added: “Growth opportunities in the IT sector are quite promising; the UAE has remarkable skills in this sector in the form of university graduates while also providing the perfect setting. Ruwad Establishment is keen on supporting these individuals, to help them enhance their creative skills, and to support them in starting their own projects.”
He further noted: “Our cooperation with Malaysia will greatly contribute to the development of this sector in the country as Malaysia has reached an advanced level in this area. We visited MDEC last year and took a close look at the development of software and multimedia in Malaysia. We also discussed how to transfer these technologies and skills to Sharjah.”
Ruwad Establishment is now entering a new phase of work with MDEC regarding the development of small and medium IT projects by inviting a group of companies from Malaysia to offer their services and creations to the government and private sectors in the UAE. These services will be provided through Ruwad’s rising local establishments, should it be welcomed by local authorities.
This model by Ruwad Establishment forms part of a program to create opportunities for small and medium projects, to help experts in this field to enhance their skills, as well as to start projects with a good chance of growth in the market. Ruwad Establishment noted that this initiative is the first of a series targeting various economic sectors in the UAE.
Datuk Badlisham Ghazali CEO of MDEC expressed his excitement at entering the UAE market, which he says has proved its ability to develop IT solutions across various business sectors.
“This partnership with Ruwad forms part of our strategic goals to share skills and information between Malaysia and the UAE, and to enable Malaysian companies to develop their businesses both technically and markedly,” he added.
A number of Malaysian companies specializing in the IT field have stepped forward to cooperate with MDEC to work as strategic partners in the UAE through Ruwad Establishment.
Ruwad Establishment will be partnering with MDEC to present a number of projects and new ideas to the business environment in the UAE through a rising number of national projects in the country.
