Mobile phone markets in Saudi Arabia and Egypt are poised for major growth following the reduction of the GSM tariff in both countries, Khaleej Times reported Thursday, quoting the Korean electronics giant Samsung during launching its new generation mobile phone - the SGH-N100 in Dubai.
The mobile phone penetration levels of the Saudi and Egyptian markets- at eight and three per cent respectively - are lower compared to their AGCC neighbors, the paper said, noting that the penetration level in the UAE is around 45 percent, one of the highest in the world -- Albawaba.com
