Saudi Arabia allows 33,000 Iraqi pilgrims to enter
An official source at the Saudi Hajj Ministry said Sunday an agreement was recently reached between the Hajj Ministry and Ibrahim Al-Esheikir Al-Jaffari, the member of the Iraqi Ruling Council, in regard to the Iraqi pilgrims.
According to SPA, he noted that the number of the Iraqi pilgrims for this year's Hajj season should not exceed 33,000; 4000 pilgrims by land and 29,000 pilgrims by air via Kuwait.
The official source pointed out that Saturday, Jan 24, 2004, was the last day for the arrival of the Iraqi pilgrims coming by land.
