Saudi envoy to Washington quits after more than 20 years of service
An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday confirmed that the kingdom's envoy to Washington had left his post after more than 20 years of service. "Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz has recently appealed to the King to relieve him of his duties for private reasons," the statement said
Prince Bandar will be replaced by the Saudi envoy to London. "At the same time, the King has issued his orders to start the process of nominating Prince Turky Al-Faisal for the post of Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States of America."
