Securing physical and virtualized servers, and cloud computing environments
Information security vendor RAS Infotech Limited has become one of the first resellers in the Middle East to be certified on selling solutions based around Trend Micro™ Deep Security, server and application protection software which unifies security across cloud computing, and virtual and traditional data center servers.
RAS Infotech is a Dubai based complete Network Security and Network Management Solutions provider, who work with their partners and clients to deliver cost-effective, timely services, and provide after-sales support across the Middle East.
Trend Micro acquired Canadian based Third Brigade in early 2009. Third Brigade specialized in server and application protection for dynamic datacenters. RAS Infotech will market Trend Micro Deep Security (DS) software which helps prevent data breach and business disruptions, enables compliance with internal security and regulatory requirements and helps reduce the cost of protecting critical data and applications from today’s threats.
“We are proud to be associated with Trend Micro who has established itself as a market leader in the region in IT Security solutions,” said Khazi Mohamed Akram, General Manager, RAS Infotech Limited. “RAS Infotech will help further extend Trend Micro’s market reach, in the IT Security market in the region.”
This year so far, Trend Micro has cleaned more than a million computers across the region. The number of infected computers is expected to rise significantly as spam peaks at two billion a day globally.
“Cloud based services are being increasingly adopted by businesses across the Middle East and Africa,” said Chris Moore, Managing Director, Trend Micro, Med Middle East and Africa. “In RAS Infotech we have a partner that has in-depth local knowledge, and is best placed to make security for cloud computing more widely available.”
DS protects virtual machines by enabling computing resources to move safely from private to public clouds, while maintaining consistent firewall security policy and monitor the integrity of critical files and system. Trend Micro Deep Security solutions will complement RAS Infotech’s portfolio of broad range of security products.
