Senior US military commander holds talks in Saudi Arabia
General Salih bin Ali Al-Muhayya, the Saudi chief of general staff, received in the capital of Riyadh on Monday chief of the American joint staff general Richard Myers and an accompanying delegation. They discussed military issues, according to SPA news agency.
The meeting was attended by deputy chief of general staff Lt. Sultan Al-Muteiri, and a number of high-ranking military officials.
Myers, arrived in Riyadh Sunday evening. SPA provided no details of Myers' planned talks in the kingdom, but they come against a backdrop of mounting US pressure on the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action to disarm Iraq or see it go at it alone. (Albawaba.com)
