South Korean envoy fails to meet North Korean leader
South Korean envoy, Lim Dong-won finished his three-day visit to North Korea and arrived back in Seoul, Wednesday, after failing to personally deliver a letter from President Kim Dae-jung to North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. The letter was given to Kim Yong Sun, secretary of the Worker's Party, to be given to Kim, The Chosun Ilbo reported.
Lim told reporters that his failure to meet with Kim was due to the latter making an important trip into the country. He continued that this could be interpreted as Kim not wanting to make an immediate reply to President Kim's written proposal to solve the nuclear issue promptly. (Albawaba.com)
