Sudan Opposes United States Strike on Iraq

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail expressed his country's opposition Monday in Baghdad to any U.S. strike on Iraq as part of Washington's global "war on terror", according to AFP.
"We refuse any strike on Iraq. If Iraq is hit today, Sudan will be tomorrow and other Arab countries the day after tomorrow," Ismail told reporters upon arrival in Baghdad.
Ismail said he was carrying a message from Sudanese President Omar el-Beshir to Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, "on bilateral relations and the current situation in the Arab world."
United States President George W. Bush signaled out Iraq last month along with Iran and North Korea as belonging to an "axis of evil", seeking to develop weapons of mass destruction. He accused Baghdad of continuing to "support terror." (Albawaba.com)
