Sultan Qaboos bin Said Leaves Riyadh
Sultan Qaboos bin Said left here today for Kuwait winding up a three day visit to Saudi Arabia.
Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, Saudi Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General led the farewell party for His Majesty at the Airbase of Riyadh Airport.
According to Oman news agency, Qaboos was also seen off by princes, ministers, senior civil and military officials in the Kingdom and Said bin Ali al-Kalbani, Sultanate's ambassador to the Saudi Arabia. According to <i>ONA</I>, Sultan Qaboos bin Said has sent a cable of thanks to the Custodian of the two holy mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia on the conclusion of His Majesty's visit to Saudi Arabia. In his cable, He extended his thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
The visit reflected the depth of bilateral relations. The two sides reviewed these relations and ways to enhance them in various fields in the interest of the two brotherly peoples, the cable said.
Qaboos wished the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques good health and the Saudi brotherly people further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.
Sultan Qaboos bin Said has also sent a similar cable to Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the National Guard.
