Syria calls citizens to collect money for Palestinians
Syria reiterated on Thursday the importance of bolstering the Palestinian national unity and renewed support to the Palestinian people struggle. “Syria underlines the importance of boosting the Palestinian national unity on the basis of respecting the Palestinian people choice and their firm principles to return home, independence and the building of their state with Jerusalem as its capital, “ Vice President Farouq al-Sharaa said after meeting Palestinian foreign minister, Dr. Mahmoud al-Zahar.
Sharaa also renewed Syria’s support to the Palestinian people’s struggle, noting to Syria’s launching of a popular campaign on the level of individuals to collect money for charities for the interests of the Palestinian people, SANA reported.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People opened a special account at the Real-Estate Bank and the branches of the Commercial Bank of Syria in Damascus, Hama, Homs, Lattakia, Aleppo, Tartus, Daraa, Swieda, Der-Ezzor, Kamishli, Hasaka, Idleb in supporting the Palestinian people.
The Committee called on the Syrian citizens to donate at the two banks to support the Palestinian people.
