Syria: Kidnapped kid back home
Abdul Karim Kheder, the child who was kidnapped on October 13 by unknown people while on his way to school in a public car, has returned home to Hasaka, located in northeastern Syria.
The kidnappers had bargained the child’s family with a ransom estimated at 40 million Syrian Pounds, thereby enabling policemen to trace the phone call that was carried out by a mobile operated by the al-Thurayya Mobile Phone Company. The mobile set was sold in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
According to SANA, due to continued chasing and searching, the police and the child’s relatives were about to identify the kidnappers who felt unable to continue maneuvering and were forced to return the child in a passing car, asking the driver to hand over the boy to the nearest police station. The boy is not hurt, and is in good health.
The hunt for the kidnappers is still underway. (Albawaba.com)
