Negotiators have failed to reach an agreement on whether Iran should be invited to Syria peace talks in Geneva next month, U.N. and Arab League envoy on Syria Lakhdar Brahimi said Friday.
The White House warned on Thursday that it would veto new congressional legislation that would toughen sanctions against Iran, because it could sink a final deal to stop Tehran getting a nuclear bomb.
Former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said Thursday that Iran faced two options prior to this month’s nuclear agreement with world powers, either to surrender or go to war.
Six world powers met in Geneva on Thursday to discuss more details about curbing Tehran's nuclear program as well as lifting economic sanctions from the US.

Iran's Foreign Minister told reporters Sunday that Iran is still committed to continuing negotiations with world powers despite the United States' recent "unsuitable actions."
After denying they knew the whereabouts of missing FBI agent Robert Levinson, Iran has also asked the U.S. for more information on the mission Levinson was completing on Iranian territory when he went missing.
