Three US soldiers killed in fresh Iraq attacks
An American soldier was killed in a bomb blast west of Baghdad, according to a US military spokesman Sunday.
The 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment soldier was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) roadside attack Saturday night in Ramadi.
Elsewhere, two American military police officers were killed and 13 were wounded in a mortar attack on the Abu Ghraib prison west of Baghdad, it was reported Sunday. The attack took place at about 10 p.m. Saturday, the AP reported.
The deaths brought to 165 the number of American troops who have died in Iraq since May 1 when President Bush declared major fighting was over. (Albawaba.com)
