Two Asian Workers Die of Asphyxiation at Saudi Sewage Plant
Two Asian laborers died of asphyxiation from noxious gases at a sewage plant in eastern Saudi Arabia, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Al-Iqtissadiya, which did not give their nationalities nor when the accident took place, said the workers were cleaning a wastewater treatment plant in a village of Al-Ihsaa region.
Saudi civil defense chief General Mohammad Jastiniya told the paper that four workers were taken to hospital, two of whom died. The laborers "failed to take the normal precautions before entering the plant," he said - RIYADH (AFP)
