Two hanged in Iran for robbery, rape

Two men, found guilty of armed robbery and rape, were hanged publicly on Tuesday in the southwestern Iranian province of Khuzestan, according to al—Kahyan. 

The two were convicted by a court in Behbahan and executed after the Islamic republic's Supreme Court affirmed the verdict, the paper said. 

They were hanged in the town's martyrs' square before a large crowd. (Albawaba.com)
