Two Pressure Vessels Built in Oman by Local Company
Oman’s mechanical engineering contractor, Arabian Industries, has constructed two pressure vessels, the largest in the sultanate, for the separation of oil, gas and water during oil extraction, reported the Gulf News on Monday.
The vessels were designed by Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company.
The vessels, added the paper, will be installed in Yibal production station in the south.
The 40-million-dollar project will increase the gross liquid handling capacity from the present 120,000 cubic meters a day to 175,000, the paper said.
The vessels are built of 25mm thick carbon steel and are 35 meters long, 4.6 meters in diameter and weigh 135 tons.
