An American official in Washington confirmed that the United States is completely closing down its embassy in Yemen and that ambassador Matthew Tueller will leave the country by Wednesday.
The announcement comes amid growing security concerns after Houthi militia dissolved parliament on February 6. The Shiite movement created a "presidential council" to rule in the stead of US-backed President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi who resigned last month.
