In a statement Saturday, the United States military said its coalition allies targeted Daesh militants Friday with 17 airstrikes in Iraq and 16 strikes in Syria, Reuters reported.
In Iraq, seven of the strikes were near Mosul, a Daesh stronghold. The US military says it struck five Daesh tactical units and a weapons cache.
Two of the strikes carried out in Syria struck a Daesh oilfield near Raqqa.
