Wataniya Airways -HR director
Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium services airline, has announced the appointment of Dr. Mohammad Ameen Ahmad as its new Director of Human Resources. Dr. Ahmad, who comes from Kuwait Telecommunication Company (VIVA) , Chief Human Resources Officer, has been appointed to lead the company's human resources Department functions, and to ensure that they are aligned with the airline's goals and objectives. George Cooper, Wataniya Airways CEO, in welcoming Dr. Ahmad to Wataniya Airways, said “Wataniya Airways has grown rapidly since the beginning of 2009, when it began its commercial services. We have always sought to offer the highest professional standards to our guests, which means employing and retaining the highest calibre of staff. Dr. Ahmad’s background and experience will help to ensure we maintain and continually to develop these standards as Wataniya Airways moves forwards, and I welcome him to the company.” A member of the American Business Council, Dr. Ahmad brings more than 29 years of comprehensive human resources experience in strategic management, succession planning and conflict resolution. He has participated in establishing and managing the human resources departments for Kuwait Telecommunication Co. (VIVA) as Chief Human Resources Officer and EQUATE Petrochemical Company as an HR Business Partner, and has overseen their growth and development into well-established and highly accredited companies. He has also participated in the start up of the Public Authority for Assessment of Compensation (PAAC) and lead the HR Department in Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Dr. Ahmad holds a PhD in Management Strategic Planning from The American University in London (AUL), and a Masters Degree in Public Administration and Government Policies from the University of Pittsburgh, and a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Kuwait University.
