Western Region Development Council announces results of the Al Gharbia Photography Competition 2010

The Western Region Development Council (WRDC) – the central coordinating body leading development and promoting opportunity in Al Gharbia, the Western Region of Abu Dhabi – is proud to announce the names of the winners of the Al Gharbia Photography Competition 2010. The competition is organised in cooperation with the Emirates Photography Association, the Abu Dhabi International Photography Society and The National newspaper.

70 amateur and professional photographers from all over the United Arab Emirates participated in the competition, which opened in April. A total of 588 photographs were submitted, addressing the three main themes of the competition; adventure, nature, and heritage found in Al Gharbia. The judging took place at the end of June with the results announced today.
