World Renowned Speakers Present Knowledge For Healthier Living
Qatar Health 2010, the premier healthcare congress and exhibition in Qatar and the Middle East, has announced the first three speakers who will take part in the event, which will be held in Doha from December 10-15.
The Qatar Health organizing committee announced that Professor Gian Carlo Di Renzo, Professor James McElnay and Dr Farshid Sanavi will be among the keynote speakers at the event.
The speakers are highly regarded, award-winning experts in their respective fields and have been significantly involved in various research initiatives.
Professor Gian Carlo Di Renzo currently chairs the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Perugia, and has an outstanding medical and academic background including extensive international training. Di Renzo is the principal investigator of several research projects for prestigious research institutions in Italy and Europe, and he has occupied distinguished positions in many professional societies. He has also edited, authored and coauthored a number of international medical publications.
Professor James McElnay is the pro-vice chancellor of Research and Postgraduates at Queen's University Belfast. McElnay is a professor of Pharmacy and chairs the Clinical and Practice Research Group in the School of Pharmacy at Queen's. He has undertaken fellowships in Northern Ireland, the United States and Great Britain, and focuses his research on developing processes and systems which lead to the safe, effective and cost-effective use of medicines in both primary and secondary care. McElnay is particularly interested in developing evidence for the safer use of medicine in children.
The third speaker is Dr Farshid Sanavi. He is currently a clinical professor of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine. Dr Sanavi is the author of many academically recognized articles, abstracts and book chapters related to periodontiology, and he has conducted extensive research in periodontics. He has received many distinguished awards and belongs to numerous academic societies.
The three speakers participated in the highly successful Qatar Health 2009 and brought their renowned expertise to the event, which provides an international forum for healthcare professionals and features the latest advances in healthcare research and technology.
The abovementioned lecturers are among over 100 speakers who will be attending Qatar Health this year. To date, speakers from over 50 countries are committed to participate at the event.
