The ‘Plant A Tree With Pepsi’ campaign was launched in collaboration with Rusaifah municipality
In support of Jordan’s national strategy and government efforts in preserving the environment and reducing pollution, PepsiCo-Jordan - winner of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence/Private Sector – launched on Tuesday, 26th April, an employee campaign entitled ‘Plant A Tree With Pepsi’ in collaboration with Rusaifah municipality.
The ‘Plant A Tree With Pepsi’ campaign was launched in collaboration with Rusaifah municipality, and was attended by Rusaifah Mayor Dr. Issam Al-Ghazzawi, PepsiCo Public Relations Manager Mohammed Arabiyat, in addition to employees from both the municipality’s and the Company’s various departments, who planted trees in one of the municipality’s lots.
Sufian Al Salman, PepsiCo East Med and Africa HR Director, said the initiative corresponds with the Company’s values and dedication to implementing environmentally sustainable practices and playing a key role in protecting the environment, preserving natural resources, and ensuring that future generations have a clean and healthy environment waiting for them.
“We sought through the ‘Plant A Tree With Pepsi’ campaign to increase our employees’ environmental awareness, and to encourage their proactive involvement in tackling environmental issues so that they may lead others in creating a green, eco-friendly country,” said Al Salman, adding that the initiative also strives to encourage greater environmental responsibility in the private sector in light of its positive impact on social development and reducing environmental problems.
