Real life version of Pixar's Flying Balloon House
This is where the Wizard of Oz meets 'James and the Giant Peach', for those who read Roald Dahl, and a house takes off! More specifically a house suspended in helium balloons a la Pixar's digitally animated 'Up.'
Where reality takes on fiction:
National Geographic actually created a real-life version of Pixar's animated hit film Up.
The National Geographic Channel and a team of scientists, engineers, and two world-class balloon pilots successfully launched a 16' X 16' house 18' tall with 300 8' colored weather balloons

Where do your loyalties lie
In the past few weeks we’ve seen protesters in Jordan of all sorts and kinds converging on the streets of the country, specifically Amman, every Friday. There is a growing “oppositional” voice in the country for sure, and their calls are diverse and assorted.
The “opposition” is no longer clear to me as it was a while back. It is no longer made up of just the Islamists or just the leftists. It has evolved to include anyone and everyone with a critical voice, and that has become a significant constituency of citizens. Thus it is utterly difficult for me to even label this constituency as mere “opposition”.

A cross comparison between the European revolutions of the 60s to the current regional uprisings.
As a "heretic" socialist/leftist who gives the middle finger to classical leftists (i.e. advocates of fake sophistication who perpetuate BS in disguise as rigor) I am already aware of May 1968 revolution of the French youth. That was a series of students and wildcat strikes which lasted for about 18 days, challenging and, almost, toppling De Gaulle's government of the time. It stopped short of an ensuing civil war (does this remind you of anything that has been happening for the last three months in a stretch of arid land we call the MENA?).
