Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz during his visit to Elaf Jeddah Hotel
HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiques (SCTA), visited the Elaf Jeddah Hotel - Red Sea Mall as part of his commitment to support and encourage tourism organisations in Saudi Arabia in their efforts to contribute to boosting the national economy.
HRH was welcomed by Ziyad Bin Mahfouz, President of Elaf Group of Companies for Travel, Tourism and Hotels, together with Khalid Jamjoom, CEO of SEDCO Real Estate Development, Aidroos Al Bar, Executive Director of Emaar Arabia, and a high-level delegation comprising, Tarek Nabulsi, Deputy CEO of Elaf Group, Ahmed Hajar, Vice President, Elaf Hotels Company, and Abdullah Al Ghamedi, Head of Government Relations.
HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman toured the Red Sea Mall and then headed to the hotel where he was briefed about the various departments and its operations. During the tour, HRH pointed out the importance of continuing the development of such vital projects which boost tourism in Jeddah in line with the highest levels of quality and excellence, emphasizing the important role of hotels in supporting government efforts aimed at developing the tourism sector in Jeddah, and KSA in general, which in turn enhances the contribution to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Ziyad Bin Mahfouz said that HRH’s visit comes in line with his ongoing commitment to support Saudi organisations and consolidate their position as a key driver for economic growth in KSA. He said that this initiative reflects the Government’s total commitment to support touristic areas in general, and the Red Sea region in particular. “Elaf Group was honored to welcome HRH at the Hotel. We confirm our earnest efforts to realise the ambitious vision of the Commission to achieve tourism development in accordance with world-class standards and boost the Kingdom’s position as a leading tourist destination in the region.”
Bin Mahfouz added, “The Elaf Group enjoys 30 years of expertise in the hotel and hospitality industry, with a portfolio of 12 hotels spread across Jeddah, Makkah and Madina Munawara, providing a range of high-quality hospitality services for tourists and visitors. Further, four more hotels are still under construction and are scheduled to welcome visitors during the coming period.”
HRH’s visit to the Elaf Jeddah Hotel - Red Sea Mall is part of a series of visits to support the tourism, hotels and hospitality industries, and promote the partnership between the private and public sectors, especially with regard to identifying effective mechanisms to improve the level of local tourism, promote the course of sustainable tourism development and maintain its quality, value and diversity, in line with Islamic principles and social, historical, cultural and environmental values that distinguish the Saudi community.
