Argentinian football icon Diego Maradona is in Dubai and recently participated in the “7 Up Dubai Government Entities Football League”; did the Muslim Brotherhood hijack Syria's revolution? Morsi and the police; and why must religion be patriarchal?
Diego Maradona manged to score two goals and assist a third in his team’s 3-2 win.
Maradona is participating with the Dubai Sports Council team in the “7 Up Dubai Government Entities Football League” and managed to sneak two past the keeper.
He also managed to get a yellow card. Some things never change.
Did the Muslim Brotherhood Hijack Syria's Revolution?
The Muslim Brotherhood should be criticised for its clandestine machinations within opposition bodies, but there’s nothing intrinsically sinister about the organisation seeking to consolidate its political influence.
“Beware, our outside enemy is seeking to create division among us, and we must not allow it,” President Morsi said in his opening speech.
One recent tweet criticized Morsi, saying he promised to visit Port Said, then only addressed them on TV, and the next day honored the institution which shot them.
Pope Francis, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Women’s Equality: Why Must Religion be Patriarchal?
The Brotherhood’s reading of Islamic law is mindless fundamentalism and literalism, often involving an ignorance of medieval Muslim beliefs and practices (in the area of abortion, e.g., or toleration of forms of homosociality).
Like the new pope, the Brotherhood considers gay rights an abomination.
