Lebanon's competitive streak rears its feisty head again. Last time, humous, tabboulehs and something else larger than life or better or faster that doesn't come to mind just now. This time, following Ramadan in multi-confessional Lebanon, Lebanon (specifically Jounieh, that lovely village suburb alongside the capital) wants to host the world's longest bar! How will Dubai feel to have its strengths at largest, tallest challenged or stolen this way! The Lebanese even admit they're balmy malady- maybe that's what confessionalism is really about: "This madness doesn’t seem like ending anytime soon, now we’re all set to break the Guinness record for the world’s longest bar."
