With reported no signs of foul play in his death, this former intelligence chief went to the grave with many secrets from his time with Mubarak; Assad names four new Security Chiefs; and problems with the Lebanese passport.
"Reuters as well State owned MENA has reported that former VP/presidential candidate/GIS chief Omar Suleiman “1939-2012” has died in a US hospital while undergoing some tests. The news is confirmed by his assistant Hussein Kamel “The man behind Omar Suleiman” .
We know nothing about the cause of death but it is well known that the man who head GIS for 16 years more than any other man since 1954 suffered from heart problems that made me wonder already why he would run for presidency !!"

"Bashar al-Assad announced four new security chiefs to replace those killed in the recent bombing at the national security meeting. Three of the four new security nominations are Sunnis. There is debate on the fourth (Abdul Fattah Qudsiye), who I have been told is an Alawi (correction)."
