An aluminum foil factory, to be built as a joint venture between Hezar Aluminum Industries Co of Iran and an Italian company, will enable Iran to become self-sufficient in aluminum foil and still export 30 percent of its production, reported Gulf News.
The factory, which will be called Hezar Aluminum Foil Factory (Haff), will be located in Kerman province, 25 kilometers from the city of Kerman. It is expected to provide 500 jobs in the region.
The raw aluminum ingots used at the plant will be supplied by the Al-Mahdi aluminum project in Bandar Abbas and by Arak's Iralco factories.
In its first year of production, the plant will produce about 35,000 tons of foil, and that figure will gradually be doubled. — (MENA Report)
