Conrad Hotels, the luxury portfolio of the Hilton family, has revealed plans to enter the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market, furthering its expansion across the Middle East region.
“We are currently exploring many opportunities in the Gulf region to open or rebrand a hotel that matches Conrad's deluxe niche offering. The Middle East region is certainly of immediate interest. We already manage three properties in Egypt—in Cairo, Sharm Al-Sheikh and Hurghada—and would like to expand into the GCC,” said Clem Barter, Conrad Hotels president.
Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Conrad Hotels represents 16 luxury properties worldwide, including two currently under development in Asia—in Bangkok and Bali. Conrad's flagship properties are the UK capital's all-suite five-star hotel, the Conrad London, and the restored 19th century Conrad Brussels. — (menareport.com)
