The Arab Monetary Fund recently revealed that the total market value of all Arab stock markets fell to $148.2 billion at the end of 2000, from $149.2 billion at the end of 1999, reported the London-based Al-Sharq Al-Awsat daily newspaper.
The authority of the Fund attributed the $1 billion fall to the decreasing stock value of major listed companies on these securities markets. –(MENA Report)
