The Middle East’s first duty free travel retailing event, due to be held in Dubai in December, has won support from international brands. The show, Middle East Exclusive, already boasts international names such as Baume & Mercier, Lindt & Sprungli, Mont Blanc, Alfred Dunhill, Gillette, Fila, Franco Ferrari and Revlon, among its exhibitor profile.
Middle East Exclusive is being organized by Channels Exhibitions of Dubai. Middle East Exclusive, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from December 1-3 this year, is endorsed by the Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA) and has the support of Dubai Duty Free.
“The Middle East currently accounts for four percent of the $19 billion global duty free business and is the fastest-growing sector within the industry,” said Colm McLoughlin, managing director of Dubai Duty Free. “Dubai Duty Free is currently ranked No. 5 in the world in terms of turnover and analysts predict that duty free sales in the region will rise by 82 percent in the next decade.” — (menareport.com)
