Nakheel, the UAE’s leading property developer, is to showcase all of its mega projects together on what will be the largest stand space in the history of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), measuring more than 800 square meters. ATM is to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 3 – 6. It is recognised as the leading industry event for the Middle East and Pan-Arab region. This year the event is expected to draw more than 1500 participants from over 60 countries.
Nakheel plans to use this global industry forum as the backdrop to announce a new wave of projects that will expand its portfolio of iconic developments.
“For the first time, Nakheel and Dubai Waterfront will showcase all of its developments at this year’s ATM, a feat that requires the largest exhibition space the event has ever seen. With so many of our iconic developments moving towards completion, we will also launch the exciting next phases of several projects to demonstrate to the global audience that Nakheel is truly where the vision of Dubai gets built,” says Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, Nakheel.
Nakheel has made history since ATM last year with the launch of acclaimed projects which include The Palm, Deira, and the new Ibn Battuta Mall among many others. Delegates to ATM 2005 will see the full range of developments that make-up the four-tiered Nakheel portfolio of the Dubai Waterfront Company, Nakheel Golf, Themed Communities and Retail developments. Amongst these developments are projects that are already internationally recognised for their sheer magnitude and grandeur like The Palm and The World, to dream-like residences that redefine community living, such as Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Lake Towers, International City and The Discovery Gardens.
“ATM is an important business event for Nakheel that connects us directly to a cosmopolitan and high profile audience drawn from local, regional and global investment, business and end-buyer communities. Nakheel has enjoyed a phenomenal track record at ATM with the successful sales launch of ‘The World’ and the launch of Water Homes The Palm, Jebel Ali which also evoked a fantastic response. ATM is an excellent platform for Nakheel to attract a diverse range of people from all over the world from hoteliers and tour agents to investors. We are keeping the momentum going this year as these acclaimed projects take shape and we expect major interest in our new announcements that are set to capture the imagination of customers from around the world,” he adds.
ATM is a unique opportunity for potential buyers, both national and expatriate, to view the display of these iconic projects. The stand will be maintained by Nakheel’s professional senior management, sales and marketing staff, who possess the expertise to explain the full suite of Nakheel’s projects and answer any queries. Nakheel has over US$ 25 billion worth of properties currently in development, and is leading the way in the Middle Eastern market. The vibrant property market has seen year on year growth, while there is a predicted 7.1% annual growth in the region’s tourism industry over the next 15 years. Nakheel’s unique property developments will seek to capitalize on such encouraging growth.
One such project is the Dubai Waterfront; destined to become an international landmark as the world’s largest waterfront offering, the Dubai Waterfront is an 81 million square metre beachfront mixed-use development created by an international consortium of the world’s best architects, planners and urban developers assembled by Nakheel in 2004. Nakheel has created Dubai Waterfront Company, and will be the majority owner, offering 49 per cent to select investors.
The uniqueness of Nakheel’s projects will be the key to attracting visitors to Nakheel’s ATM stand, where they can get a detailed, close-up look at the developments. The stand will not only be the largest at the show, but promises to encapsulate the futuristic spirit of Nakheel’s developments: a variety of plasma screens and interactive touch-screens will display the most up-to-date information and you will be able to view all the projects through the latest multimedia devices. Visitors will be able to access their mail, surrounded by the world’s most innovative developments, while sipping their complimentary refreshments.
