A total of 3.16 million tourists visited Morocco during the first seven months of 2004, say a 19 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the latest figures released by the Moroccan tourism ministry.
France comes atop in terms of number of tourists with over 683,288 tourists, ahead of Spain, the UK and Germany.
In July alone, 1.24 million tourists visited Morocco compared to 1 million in July 2003, say a growth of 17 percent.
Meanwhile, number of tourists from Scandinavia and Switzerland went down respectively by 13 percent and 7 percent. (menareport.com)
