Concorde Fujairah Hotel, a luxury accommodation in the heart of the city, organised a culinary competition as a part of the team building program for the management, participated in by the property’s Heads of Departments (HoD). The activity aims to develop the competence of the department heads by giving them on-the-spot tasks that will reinforce their creativity and team work.
Four groups with four members each competed in the cook-off held at the hotel kitchen. All the HODs dressed up in chef’s uniforms following the complete kitchen food safety and hygiene. The competition was judged by four of the in-house chefs, along with GM Fekry. To add up to merriment of the event, the food prepared by the participants were shared to all the teams.
Addressing the participants, Fekry said, “I would like to congratulate everyone who eagerly took part in the first HoD Culinary Competition. They are all winners as they are able to accomplish the objective of this activity, which is to remind everyone that there will be unexpected events during the operation thus, we should be prepared at all times.”
The winners of the culinary competition were announced during the special dinner treat hosted by the GM. The best team, who received special awards was composed of Pradeep Salvi, Mohsen Salem, Latifa Noar, and Rabie Nasir.
