Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, a hotel that believes in constant learning and growth, invited a leading and well known housekeeping trainer, Petra Ramming, to train and motivate the hotel staff.
Ramming, who is based in Germany, is a seasoned housekeeper with years of professional experience in training chambermaids in the European sub-continent. She has worked in different countries and has an experience in training and working with people across different nationalities. She strongly believes in establishing the pride and improving the performance of the housekeeping associates in order to deliver a great value to the customers. The training at Arabian Courtyard Hotel and Spa is her first professional training in the Middle East.
The housekeeping team of Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, under the supervision of Ramming and Emma Tending, Executive Housekeeper of the hotel, undertook an intensive month-long training inclusive of theoretical sessions and role playing exercises. The staff was taught the most effective sequences and techniques across all areas of housekeeping such as tidying up the rooms, changing bedcovers, cleaning bathrooms, replacing toiletries, providing turndown services, and maintenance of common areas to ensure customers are provided with the most hygienic and environmentally-friendly facilities. The staff was also trained to practice green methodology and taught new energy conservation techniques.
Habib Khan, General Manager, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, said: “We at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa strongly believe in constantly educating, training and inspiring our associates by providing them with the opportunity to continuously grow and stay motivated. Customer satisfaction is our key to stand out in the competition. A clean, fresh and inviting room is a great way to ensure guest satisfaction. In addition, with the growing awareness in energy conservation and safekeeping of environmental values, it is essential to adopt some of the best practices from a renowned source.”
Ramming added: “Housekeepers are specially-trained individuals. Proper selection and training are essential in maintaining a superior housekeeping department within the hotel industry. Encouraging innovation in the housekeeping departments will continually create new services and add value for customers.”
