Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) recently launched the 6th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, designed for children 15 years of age and below to showcase their artistic talents and imaginations in drawing the car of their dreams. The submitted art work should be coloured and drawn by hand. Digital work will not be accepted.
Central Trade and Auto Company (CTA), the exclusive dealer for Toyota, Lexus and Hino vehicles in the Kingdom, recently announced its participation in the contest, opening the way for Jordanian children to join in the fun international event taking place in 80 countries. CTA will be accepting entries for the 6th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest from November 1st, 2011 through January 31st, 2012.
By motivating children to draw pictures of their dream cars, the contest aims to inspire an interest among the participants in automobiles and encourage them all to have dreams and chase them.
Submitted artworks will be judged by the official Toyota Motor Corporation dealer in each country. Submissions will be separated into three age categories; below 10 years, 10-12 years, and 13-15 years old. Three local winners will be selected from each category and will automatically be contestants in the global contest where an international winner will be selected from each category.
TMC also announced that Akira Toriyama, who is famous internationally as the creator of the animated series “Dragon Ball Z,” will participate in the world contest as a special jury member. Prizewinners will be invited to attend an award ceremony held by TMC in Japan in 2012.
The contest expanded from Asia to include North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East. Between the first contest (2004) and the fifth (2010), TMC received approximately 180,000 entries from all over the world.
