Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has become the first utility in the Middle East and North Africa to launch an application that is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system, which provides customers with convenient access to a wide range of services. The launch of the application is part of DEWA’s continuous efforts to provide cutting-edge e-Services for all its customers, to save them time and effort.
“In order to become a sustainable world-class utility, DEWA effectively contributes to the economic, social and environmental development of Dubai by providing reliable and stable electricity and water services. DEWA is actively adopting state-of-the-art technologies and solutions across all its online services, to support the strategy of the UAE and Dubai’s vision to serve our customers better. This initiative is a new addition to DEWA’s existing record of achievements. We are committed to adopting the latest technologies, to save time and effort for our customers and serve them better,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.

“The application enables DEWA’s customers to view their monthly bills, access DEWA’s news, interact with Customer Care Centres for addressing suggestions and enquiries and learning more about DEWA’s services and facilities without having to visit its Customer Service Centres. The free application is compatible with the Windows 8 operating system and can be downloaded on computers and tablets at the Microsoft Application Store,” said Marwan Bin Haidar, CIO and Vice President of Information Technology at DEWA.
