dnata  was last night presented with the prestigious award of ‘World’s Leading Air Travel Service Provider’ at the World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2012, which took place at The Oberoi Gurgaon, New Delhi, India.
This prestigious accolade comes on the back of dnata receiving three earlier awards - Dubai’s Leading Travel Agency, UAE’s Leading Business Travel Agency and Middle East’s Leading Tour Operator - at the World Travel Awards Middle East in May this year.
The World Travel Awards are voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide and this accolade recognises the commitment to excellence which organisations receiving awards have demonstrated during the past twelve months.

dnata has grown its travel business significantly over the past twelve months and has continued its strategy of focusing on innovation and technology. This was evident in its recent acquisition of the majority stake in Travel Republic, the leading UK online travel agency which offers access to over 150,000 hotel and holiday apartments together with flights from 100 airlines to more than 650 destinations worldwide. Its website, in an increasing range of languages, helps over two million customers a year with their holiday plans and recently launched bespoke sites in Ireland, Spain, Italy and Germany. Travel Republic, which has been operating for over 10 years, is on target to become one of the largest on-line travel companies in Europe.
dnata’s commitment to customer service is demonstrated in a number of recent initiatives including its recently-formed joint venture in the UAE - Travel Counsellors, a personalised travel agency already proving popular with customers.
Looking forward into 2013, continuing to grow its regional, international and online market are all key business objectives. Work is already underway to integrate the newly-acquired Travel Republic brand and dnata is working closely with the existing management team to formulate innovative ways to grow the business.
