Emaar Turkey, the country-subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC, has announced the development of ‘Boulevardi,’ a new mixed use development spanning 67,000 square metres, offering luxury living in a stunning new urban neighbourhood. The second project of Emaar in the country underlines the company’s focus to provide long-term value to its stakeholders through strategic expansion in key emerging markets.
The launch of Boulevardi builds on the excellent response of the Tuscan Valley villa community in Istanbul, Emaar’s pioneering master-planned community in Turkey, and will meet growing demand from international and local investors seeking world-class lifestyle assets within the vibrant city. Boulevardi will comprise over 1,000 luxury homes, a 190 room five star hotel, a wide range of leisure facilities, offices, and a world class shopping mall, the largest on the Asian side of the city.
Ozan Balaban, General Manager, Emaar Turkey, said: “There is considerable demand for high quality residential communities in Istanbul to meet the country’s exponential growth in the tourism and property sectors, drawing on the city’s unique business position bridging the Middle East region and Europe. Emaar’s first residential project in the region, Tuscan Valley, had gained strong investment from the Turkish community in Dubai as well as international investors, and we are confident of robust investor interest in Boulevardi too.
“The Boulevardi development is situated in one of the most sought after residential locations in the city and will reflect Emaar’s global concept and commitment to providing luxury, master-planned residential neighbourhoods. The project will be a catalyst for further growth on the Anatolian side as a result of several financial organisations moving in following the relocation of Turkey’s Central Bank in the vicinity and further due to the prime location of the site at the hub of all major transport links.”
Boulevardi takes inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of the city featuring elegant homes inspired by Ottoman-style architecture surrounded by wide, tree-lined boulevards and vibrant neighborhood squares. Several lifestyle amenities including shopping, hospitality, dining and leisure facilities are in close proximity.
The Boulevardi mall, a trophy asset within the development, will be one of the largest in Istanbul and offer city dwellers a world class shopping and leisure destination. Taking design inspiration from The Dubai Mall, the new retail and leisure destination will offer visitors the unsurpassed choice of over 400 stores, diverse culinary venues and unique leisure attractions including a Discovery Centre & Underwater Zoo, family entertainment centre, ice skating rink and mega movie theatre complex.
Emaar Turkey’s Boulevardi is showcased at Emaar’s pavilion in Cityscape Global, the premiere real estate exhibition that is ongoing through October 4, 2012, at the Dubai International Convention Centre.
Emaar won the ‘Best Developer’ of residential and mixed-use projects in Turkey at the 2010 Euromoney Real Estate Awards.
The second phase of Emaar’s first project, Tuscan Valley was completed in June 2012. Inspired by the Tuscan architectural style, and enriched with magnificent views of Büyükçekmece Lake and Marmara Sea, Tuscan Valley offers an elegant lifestyle for residents. The project is located in the western part of Istanbul, just 20 kms from Ataturk International Airport and 45 minutes from the city centre, over 1.7 million sq metres of land.
In the second phase, in addition to the villas, there are also smaller-sized twin villas which are designed in the Tuscan architectural style. There are apartments with lake and sea view, as well as villa suites with gardens and terraces. Alongside the houses, the Tuscan Shopping Arcade is also part of the completed second phase with 25 stores and approximately 3,700 square meters of rentable commercial space.
