Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of the art and cultural district of Dubai, invites guests and residents to witness the traditional cake mixing ceremony at Bastakiya Restaurant on 10th December, 2011 from 4pm onwards.
The centuries old cake mixing ceremony is a ritual religiously followed all over the world, in the lead up to Christmas. The mixing of the ingredients is meant to bring good luck for the festive season and the coming year ahead. Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa’s culinary team spearheaded by Executive Chef Glen Fernandes along with invited guests will mix different kinds of nuts and fruits with wine and liquor and will be stored to prepare the Christmas cake. On Christmas Eve, the mixture will be blended with cake batter to make the cakes.
Habib Khan, General Manager, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, said: “The cake mixing ceremony is a much-awaited and celebrated event around the world because it spices up the excitement leading to Christmas. One cannot imagine Christmas without the traditional cake so we want our guests to witness the effort that goes into making such a cake. This event will bring more colour to the festive season!”
