Ernst & Young sponsors CFA Awards

Ernst & Young sponsored the 5th Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter award ceremony in Kuwait. The Charter Award Ceremony is the flagship event for the CFA Kuwait Society and is one of the key events in the country’s financial sector’s calendar, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the CFA Institute.

Waleed Al Osaimi, Office Managing Partner, Ernst & Young Kuwait said: “We are pleased to support the 5th CFA Kuwait Charter Award Ceremony. The Institute has played a prominent role in the professional development of the industry and we are proud of the association. Many of our own professionals are either charter-holders or pursuing the CFA program. As an organization, the CFA charter is a professional qualification that we encourage and support our people to pursue. We see this as part of our commitment to furthering the cause of financial education in the industry.”

In addition to distributing the charters to the new charter holders, the event included presentations by renowned industry speakers. The event featured Mr. Faisal Al Ayyar, Vice Chairman of KIPCO (Kuwait Projects) Group, the evening’s distinguished guest and Dr. Marc Faber,  author and publisher of The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report, who was the key speaker.
