Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU), a leader in the field of e-Learning and quality management in the Arab World, are pleased to announce that Mrs. Asma Balfaqee, a learner from Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University School of e-Education, has recently been awarded the “Young Emirati Researchers Prize” for 2011 from The National Research Foundation for her proposal on “Teachers' Perceptions of Technology Integration”. Recognized as one of the best learners of HBMeU, Mrs. Balfaqee was supervised by Dr. Rana Tamim in her research work that won the prize.

The Young Emirati Researchers Prize 2011 is one of six awards handed out by the National Research Foundation with the aim to help build research capacity in the country and to reward research excellence. The other awards are Emirati Faculty Research Mobility Award (EFRMA), Young Emirati Postgraduate Research Students Mobility Award (YEPRSMA), Young Emirati Innovators Prize (YEIP), Patent Filing Award (PFA) and University-Industry Research Collaboration Award 2011 (U-IRCA).
