Hilton Worldwide hotels in Egypt perfectly captured the spirit of Ramadan with a series of generous initiatives across the country during the holy month. The programme of giving included:
Hilton Sharm Dreams Resort, Sharm El Sheikh: Launched a clothes and toys collection programme for the Orphans Society in Sharm El Sheikh as well as hosting an iftar for the Orphans Society and its members.
Ramses Hilton, Cairo: Held a series of iftars for disadvantaged members of the community as well as hosting an event for 100 orphans from Misr El Mahrousa charity.
Hilton Hurghada Long Beach Resort, Hurghada: As well as hosting a series of community iftars, the hotel also joined forces with Hurghada’s General Hospital to provide hospital patients with iftar meals. Hotel staff also partnered with Resala and created a cleaning and ironing housekeeping programme for the benefit of local disadvantaged families. In addition, hotel guests helped to support the hotel’s fundraising efforts for Dr Magdy Yacoub’s Heart Surgery Foundation.
Hilton Hurghada Plaza, Hurghada: Organised a number of community iftar events as well provide boxes of pastries to distribute locally and in partnership with Resala.
Hilton Sharks Bay Resort, Sharm El Sheikh & Hilton Hurghada Resort, Hurghada: Both hotels distributed traditional Ramadan bags containing a selection of food staples to community projects. Hilton Hurghada Resort delivered their donation to 43 needy families across Hurghada whilst Hilton Sharks Bay Resort presented their Ramadan bags to a retirement home in Cairo.
