Imdaad, the leading provider of integrated facilities management solutions in the GCC, has announced a new agreement during the recently held FM Expo 2012 in Dubai, to provide power generators to address the temporary power requirements of the 9th Asian Swimming Championships, which will run from November 15 to 25, 2012, at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sports Complex in Dubai. Imdaad, which is a major sponsor of the championships, will extend power generation services to the event through Imdaad Power, a division established to address temporary power requirements of projects and industries in the GCC.
“The availability of safe, reliable and customized power generation solutions will remain a crucial factor as Dubai continues to establish itself as a premier host of prestigious international sporting championships and other high-profile global events. Imdaad Power has been established to address such specific power generation needs, eliminating any risk related to power interruptions. Our continuing partnership with the Dubai Sports Council further reaffirms the success of Imdaad in delivering integrated facilities management services that satisfy the evolving requirements of our clients in the region,” said Mahmood Hussein Rasheed, COO, Imdaad.
“Following our successful collaboration with Imdaad during the recent Swimming World Cup Dubai 2012, we are pleased to once again partner with them for the 9th Asian Swimming Championships. Imdaad has established a solid track record in addressing specific power generation needs of a wide variety of projects, events and industries. We are therefore confident that Imdaad will again play a key role in ensuring the success of the upcoming championships,” said Abdulla Shahdad, Championships Director.
Imdaad Power provides power generators of various sizes and capacity, from small diesel units to big containerised power units starting with 30Kva to 1250Kva. The power generators are also equipped with sound attenuated enclosures for onboard or dock side needs within the shipping industry. The new Imdaad Power division also offers water-based chillers and air conditioners to supplement the installed process systems or to provide heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) services.
The 9th Asian Swimming Championships, which will gather entries from 30 countries, will be a qualifying event for the FINA Swimming World Championships in July 2013. This year’s edition will be the first time in the history of the event that four swimming disciplines will be hosted in the same venue: swimming, synchronised swimming, water polo and diving.
