Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities management solutions in the UAE, has announced that it has recently participated as the main sponsor of the recently concluded Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) Students’ Workshop, a three-day event held at Rashid Boys School in Dubai that enlightened students about the critical importance of sustainability and environmental stewardship. Junior to senior level students from various UAE schools took part in the workshop where they also presented their own ideas to help address emerging environmental challenges in the society.
Imdaad’s involvement in the Student Workshop was in line with the company’s strong focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a key component of its business strategy. The company has been actively promoting sustainable business practices, waste management and recycling, which were among the key points discussed during the workshop, as part of its comprehensive facilities management solutions.
Mahmood Rasheed, COO, Imdaad, said: “Imdaad has acquired in-depth knowledge and expertise in the sustainable management of properties, assets and other facilities, and we are keen on sharing this knowledge with the students and others who are equally passionate about the environment. As part of our corporate social responsibility agenda, Imdaad has eagerly supported the EEG Student Workshop and other similar initiatives, which greatly complement our environmental advocacy. There is certainly an urgent need to create greater environmental awareness and we hope that the success of this event will inspire other students and more people to involve themselves and be mindful of the environmental issues and challenges that affect our society.”
