Jotun Paints successfully hosted a special children’s day for wards from the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs recently at KidZania in Dubai Mall. Throughout the event, the Jotun team closely interacted with the children and participated in activities that highly encouraged using their creativity and skills. According to Jotun officials present during the event, the overwhelming response and success of the special kid’s day has prompted the company to now make the event a part of its annual activity calendar.
Upon arrival, the kids were welcomed by Jotun’s team. The kids were asked to join in fun-filled activities that consisted of painting at the ‘Jotun Establishment’ within KidZania, games, jewellery and perfume making. The children also enjoyed playing role-play activities—assuming roles of firemen, hospital staff and local policemen. At the end of the activities at KidZania, the children were given specially prepared goody bags to remember the occasion. The accompanying parents, teachers, and the children were later treated to a meal at KidZania. Officials and teachers from Al Noor Training Centre expressed their thanks and appreciation to Jotun team, pointing out that the kids not only had fun but also learned a lot of new things. The event is part of Jotun’s ongoing CSR initiatives and looks towards strengthening the company’s ties with its surrounding community.
“We are very happy at the success of this initiative. Seeing the smiles and the happy faces of these kids is reason enough for us to come back and host them again for another special children’s day. In fact, we have decided on making this a regular event for Jotun, which strongly reflects our continuing commitment towards reaching out to the community,” concluded Biren Arora, General Manager – UAE, Jotun Paints.
