LG Electronics (LG) held its fourth annual international cooking competition, the Life Tastes Good Championship (LTGC), on October 25th in Istanbul, Turkey. A total of eight teams from eight different countries of the Middle-East and Africa (MEA) region competed, showcasing their culinary prowess by cooking a variety of delightful dishes using LG’s latest cooking appliances.
Under the theme of “Taste of Light, Taste of Life,” teams from Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, and the UAE competed in the competition. As was the case last year, this year’s presiding judges were the honorable members of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) and Le Cordon Bleu.
All eight teams created their unique culinary jewels through LG’s Next Generation Lightwave Convection Oven, shining the ‘taste of light’ to this event.
All the culinary delights presented by the amateur chefs at this year’s LTGC were created using LG’s energy efficient Next Generation Lightwave Oven which is equipped with the world’s first Charcoal Lighting HeaterTM that enables natural, tasty, and health conscious cooking for customers.
“This year’s Final Competition was yet another success in demonstrating healthy and tasty international dishes through LG’s Lightwave technology.” said Ki-wan Kim, President and CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa. “Through the world’s first Charcoal Lighting HeaterTM, consumers can cook dishes reduced in unhealthy fat and salinity, while retaining the necessary nutrients. LG will continue to undertake efforts to enhance the lives of consumers across the world by continuing the development of cutting-edge cooking appliances and innovative technologies.”
