Oman Oil Marketing Company’s Facebook page has been recognized by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy for social media interactivity in the oil and gas sector. Receiving the ‘Best Interactive Award’, omanoil’s Facebook page was applauded for creating interesting and valuable experiences, interacting with a following of over 15,000 friends, richness in information and design. The awards were presented during a ceremony in Dubai, after a Jury Committee of design professionals and technical experts evaluated the entries based on international guidelines for web technology.

Designed to reflect a young and dynamic company, omanoil’s Facebook page successfully launched a road safety campaign entitled ‘BeSafe’, which proved to be an authentic online experience that inspired a call to action. omanoil has also run competitions on its page during Customer Service Week to reward customers for their loyalty and support. These competitions successfully drew in the public and the page received over 4,000 participant entries and 5,000 new friends during the week.
