As part of its commitment to the Wyndham Green initiative, the management team and staff of Ramada Downtown Dubai will take part in the cleaning up activities of Jumeirah Open Beach on 29th November.
Organised by Wyndham Hotel Group, participants from each hotel will gather at the Jumeirah Open Beach to clean the beach area and remove waste and unwanted debris that pose hazard to the environment and also to visitors who frequent the area.
Wael El Behi, General Manager, Ramada Downtown, said: “We are very keen to support and participate in activities that foster a greener, cleaner, and healthier environment. Our involvement in green initiatives extends far beyond the Corporate Social Responsibility, as this is our way of giving back to the society and passing on well-preserved natural resources to the younger generation.”
Ramada Downtown Dubai has been actively taking part and organising different green initiatives including its participation in Earth Hour by switching off all the lights in the hotel’s public areas for one hour, observance of Earth Day through a clean-up of the entire Downtown community, and planting activities during National Tree Day.
The campaign hopes to create awareness amongst residents and visitors on the importance of protecting and preserving the environment for the present and the next generations.
