Ramada Downtown Dubai organised a series of activities, as part of its ongoing efforts to give back to the community by reaching out to the needy.
Lead by the Heroes Club, a committee of hotel associates formed to oversee staff and CSR activities, the staff joined hands to extend help to the less fortunate through three different initiatives. The first initiative is to provide aid to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines by donating linen and household items to the hardly-hit areas through Dubai International Academy. Selected members of the staff also paid a visit to Elderly Home UAE to spend time, share stories and gave away confectioneries to the elders who are currently residing in the home, to show care and respect.
Just recently, the Heroes Club organised the annual blood drive for the benefit of Dubai Blood Donation Centre Pathology and Genetics Department, where majority of the hotel employees joined the cause to help save lives.
Samir Arora, General Manager, Ramada Downtown Dubai, commented: “I would like to commend the members of the Heroes Club for their dedication in carrying out these notable initiatives, along with all the staff who extended support by taking part in the activities. 2013 has been a good year for Ramada Downtown and we would like to end the year on a positive note by reaching out and sharing our blessings. We intend to carry out similar activities in the future to help more people and charitable institutions.”
